DKV Mobility

4th February 2025

DKV Mobility and GreenFlux are making EV charging more accessible and seamless, ensuring drivers and fleets can charge conveniently and efficiently across Europe.

“The mobility sector is in flux and DKV Mobility and GreenFlux are at the heart of it, pioneering innovative digital and electromobility solutions. For over 90 years, DKV Mobility and its more than 2,500 employees have been committed to the promise "You drive, we care" and thus to simplifying commercial transport and mobility. To cater to the diverse needs of our over 394,000 truck and fleet customers in more than 50 countries, we offer a full-service package that makes us the market leader for the purchase of mobility services in Europe. This does not only include solutions for road tolls, vehicle services and VAT refund but also access to an extensive network for refuelling and EV charging in Europe.

One of our key priorities is to lead in green and spearhead the energy transition. Through our products and services, we aim to make it easier for the road transport sector to adopt greener and more sustainable energy solutions. This mission follows from our purpose: To drive the transition towards an efficient and sustainable future of mobility. A big step towards this goal was the acquisition of GreenFlux in 2021. GreenFlux, based in Amsterdam, was founded in 2011 with a mission to accelerate the transition towards sustainable mobility. Its eMobility platform enables Charge Point Operators (CPOs) and eMobility Service Providers (eMSPs) to manage EV charging operations at scale, optimise revenue, extend their network access, and offer outstanding driver experiences.

By combining our strengths, our customers truly benefit from our mission the ambition to create a leading European solution for eMobility. DKV Mobility’s extensive experience and GreenFlux’s proficiency in EV charging and software development have significantly driven the expansion of the electromobility sector.

In just four years, we have expanded our charging network from 100,000 charge points in 2020 to over 893,000 charge points by December 2024. Together, we have positioned ourselves as industry leaders in EV charging solutions. But the growth isn't just limited to the connection of charge points.

Starting with just one employee in 2015, our EV business has grown tremendously over the past nine years. Today, over 200 experts take care of our customers' eMobility needs every day.

A major focus for us lies on providing a seamless and excellent customer experience, so that EV drivers can travel worry-free. For DKV Mobility, convenience in charging is paramount, regardless of location or method. With an array of charging solutions, one of the largest EV charging networks, and straightforward billing systems, the company is continually enhancing the charging experience of its customers. This includes bespoke @home and @work solutions, as well as always providing access to the most convenient and efficient public charging infrastructure.

Efficiency enhancement is also central to GreenFlux. As a pioneer of smart charging solutions, its advanced EV platform offers advanced technology to optimize energy use and reduce costs. By intelligently managing the charging rate of EVs, you will be able to reduce the overall demand and avoid expensive grid expansion. This significantly reduces the site and network CAPEX and OPEX costs and provides you real-time control for properly operating your networks. Recently, GreenFlux made smart charging even smarter by developing its newest solution optimised specifically for DC charge stations. This is a significant milestone in the eMobility industry, as the solution maximises energy efficiency, allows CPOs to expand their DC charging network, and enhances the user experience at the same time.

Through our support of open eMobility protocols like the Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) and the Open Charge Point Interface (OCPI), DKV Mobility and GreenFlux are actively contributing to the development of the electric vehicle market. A crucial element in paving the way towards a greener future is eliminating uncertainty and ensuring a stable energy supply for our customers. The goal: offering the largest EV charging roaming network in Europe.

Another key area of focus for us is increasing the charging options for heavy-duty vehicles. The integration of Hyper Power Chargers (HPC) and other solutions seeks to make the transition to e-trucks more appealing, especially for long-distance travel. As DKV Mobility and GreenFlux are a powerful team in (e)mobility services, we are confident that we are on the right path to making sustainable mobility available to all. To make this mission a reality, the electrification of transport and mobility is essential for making future mobility more efficient and sustainable.”

Route220

11th December 2024

Route220 is revolutionising e-mobility with innovative solutions like the EVWay app, the EVWay Travel Network, and Fleet220, ensuring seamless charging experiences and advancing sustainable mobility across Europe.

“Route220 was established in Milan in 2014 with the goal of providing a seamless charging experience for travellers coming to Italy from across Europe with their electric vehicles.

We developed the EVWay app, connected to our platform, which, thanks to a roaming system in collaboration with Hubject, now maps over 700,000 charging points from various operators in Italy and Europe.

Over the years, we’ve expanded our vision. By collaborating with hospitality establishments, we created the EVWay Travel Network, a dedicated solution for electric tourists. In 2022, we launched Fleet220, a company focused on supporting electric corporate fleets with tailored solutions.

Our commitment to innovation has been recognised with significant milestones. Route220 became a certified B Corp in 2023, further cementing our dedication to responsible business practices. We’re proud to hold key certifications, including those for data security standards, general quality policies, Plug&Charge functionality, and the ISO 14064-2 validation of our CO₂ emission calculation method.

For us, transparency is at the heart of our mission: to provide efficient solutions for managing and optimising fleets and charging infrastructure for businesses, while making charging a smooth and positive experience for all EV drivers.”

Gireve

8th November 2024

Amandine De Oliveira, Head of Consulting, explains how Gireve is connecting a diverse marketplace for EV charging, supporting millions of transactions daily and fuelling industry growth with data, innovation, and ecosystem solutions.

“From the very beginning of the company, there was this conviction that the industry did not rely only on EVs, batteries and charging stations, but it also needed a full ecosystem of players providing both services and solutions.

We are the market player of this ecosystem. We operate a marketplace that connects hundreds of players with very diverse profiles. It represents millions of transactions every day. To implement these market services, we collect, we analyse and we process key data on EV charging.

We've seen a spectacular growth of all parameters of the industry. To sum it up, the charging market has doubled every two years, everywhere, with national incentives and ambitious goals supporting the growth. We see a lot of innovation and evolution of the market. Wireless, plug and charge, smart charging, mass, B2G, you name it. We also see a lot of new use cases with HGV and fleet electrification.

Those evolutions will generate new services and needs, so we'll capitalise on our expertise to offer qualitative and effective solutions.”
