Evway by Route220 started in 2014 as the first completely interoperable charge point operator (CPO) and e-mobility service provider (EMSP) in Italy and is now the biggest private independent interoperable CPO and EMSP in the country. Evway acts as a digital platform to enable customer and stakeholder’s engagement, providing trip and tourism relevant information for EV drivers. Since its foundation, the company has been committed to developing an open and collaborative market in Europe. Evway has also recently started an EU Horizon2020 funded project as the Italian coordinator, with the scope of testing and implementing new charging experiences regarding the Plug and Charge standards.
